On Monday, November 22, Burlington kicked off the 15th Anniversary of their annual Coat Drive with a generous donation of 20,000 new coats that were delivered to 10 community partners in cities across the US who provide direct services to families and individuals in need. Partners who received the new coats include:

The Coat Drive, which ran through December 24th, offered customers a discount on a new item purchase when a donation of a gently used coat was made in participating Burlington stores. Delivering Good worked with hundreds of nonprofit partners nationwide, matching them to their local Burlington store so that donated coats benefit the community where each store does business.
Burlington started their collaboration with Delivering Good in 2006 and the Coat Drive has become an annual event aimed at spreading warmth to thousands of families and individuals in need every winter. Over the past 14 years, we have reached families and individuals in need nationwide with more than 2.4 million coats.

Burlington Stores began in 1972 as a family-run business, with one store in Burlington, New Jersey. In those early days, serving the customer was about delivering a broad selection of off-price coats and outerwear. The former name was Burlington Coat Factory, they started opening more stores across the U.S. and expanded their product assortment to include ladies’ sportswear, men’s activewear, and children’s apparel. In the ensuing four decades, their product selection has grown to include baby, home, beauty, and the name changed to Burlington Stores to reflect the breadth of the product offerings.
