At Delivering Good, we believe in the power of new merchandise to transform lives. Today, we’re excited to share insights from one of our newest board members, Jose Castro, EVP, Consumer Products and Experiences, Paramount, with extensive experience in licensing, retail, marketing, and manufacturing. Skilled in driving sales growth, strategic planning, and diversity initiatives, he has helmed world-class programs and partnerships with major brands and led several key merchandising campaigns in major retail store chains around the world. We are excited to welcome Jose to our Delivering Good board and look forward to all that we can do together. We took a moment to get to know Jose a bit better in this interview.
What do you feel makes Delivering Good unique compared to other charitable organizations, and why do you believe in our mission to provide new merchandise to those in need?
The work of Delivering Good has a much more direct and immediate impact for those in need. In the face of adversity, the most basic needs can be taken for granted. Being able to provide immediate solutions and products to those who need it most makes a lasting impression.
Can you share a personal story that highlights your passion for helping others, and how you hope to make a difference as a board member of Delivering Good?
We’re all as strong as the community we are a part of. The importance of creating a sense of belonging is paramount to my ethos. I have spent the last few years donating my time mentoring and providing guidance to individuals looking for help in their professional or personal lives, raising money for resources and safe spaces for at-risk unhoused youth, and ensuring that products end up in the hands of those who need it most. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the incredible work that Delivering Good leads and am hoping that my partners in the retail and manufacturing industries can exponentially enhance that impact.
Delivering Good helps transform the lives of people in poverty, those recovering after a disaster, re-entering the workforce, and more through new product donations in order to provide hope and dignity. What excites you the most about giving back through Delivering Good?
I’m thrilled to be a part of a solution and a recovery process that helps bridge the gap between experiencing the unthinkable and insurmountable, to seeing a path forward and a promise of better days.
