Founded in 2009, The Sharing Shelf provides assistance and support to children and teens in Westchester and Fairfield Counties in New York with new and gently used clothing and essentials. Teen Boutique, the organization’s semi-annual shopping day, provided 500 girls with a curated shopping experience in 2017. Director Deborah Blatt shared, “The items help build their self-esteem and hopefully ensure that they are more likely to attend and stay in school.”
With a 30% increase in demand in the surrounding area, the organization is expanding to amplify its impact, with the help of Delivering Good’s new products.
We estimated that we are only reaching a small percentage of the children who need clothing in Westchester. To reach more children, as we grow, we need a larger inventory. The clothing from Delivering Good helps us address this situation.”
