Delivering Good and Burlington Deliver Over 171,000 Coats

Delivering Good, The Salvation Army Yonkers Citadel Corps, Burlington Stores, Def Jam Recordings and Chasity’s Dream joined forces this weekend to deliver coats to people in need. This year, the Burlington coat drive delivered over 171,000 coats to people in need throughout the country.

To wrap up this year’s Burlington Coat Drive, The Salvation Army Yonkers hosted a Winter Festival to distribute the coats. On Saturday, February 8, renowned rapper and DefJam recording artist Jadakiss, his niece Chasity Bailey and Councilwoman Shanae Williams distributed coats to clients at The Salvation Army Yonkers Citadel Corps, a Delivering Good community partner.

The event featured food, drinks, fun, music and free winter coats, donated as part of the annual Burlington Coat Drive, hosted in partnership with the campaign’s national nonprofit partner, Delivering Good.

On Saturday, over 300 new coats, donated by Jadakiss and Burlington Stores, were distributed to the people served by The Salvation Army Yonkers and the Burlington Coat Drive helped thousands of people in need throughout the country stay warm this winter.
