Delivering Good’s Response to Kentucky Flood

kentucky flood - bus under water

While the news headlines have moved on, the team here at Delivering Good is still working to provide support for those affected by the terrible flooding in Kentucky that has taken lives and destroyed homes in an area that was already under-resourced. Recovery is likely to be a long-term process for those most affected and our products are providing crucial relief to so many right now. From our partner on the ground in KY, 4 Good Community:

Out of all the resources we distributed, clothing was the most desired. This area is a very financially depressed region, and to add the disaster to that is horrible. We had people telling us that this was the nicest clothing they have ever had during the distribution. That made us feel good to have the opportunity to replace ruined clothing with something better than before, so thank you for that opportunity!”

To date, we have sent or are in the process of sending 1.24 million units of necessities like socks, underwear, sweats, t-shirts, sleeping bags, and baby clothes valued at nearly $2.4 million. Our product donors include: Bombas, Universal Athletic, Tall Order, Tharanco Group, Primark, Centric Brands, Tailored Brands, 529 LLC, Accessories Design Group, Salty Inc., Kayser-Roth Corp, Hanesbrands Inc.
