Product Relationship Associate

The Product Relationship Associate, reporting to the Director of Product Procurement is a full-time employee who will provide support to the product donation team.

This is an ideal role for someone with nonprofit experience or someone with an account management background looking to enter the nonprofit space.

The Product Relationship Associate has the main duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and cultivate strong relationships with product donors
  • Solicit and build current product donations from existing and prospective donors
  • Support development and implementation of new product donor programs/initiatives
  • Coordinate and measure outreach strategies that meet Delivering Good’s business goals
  • Create and maintain materials including PowerPoint presentations for specific donors, upholding the ideals and standards of Delivering Good and showcasing the benefits and impact of engaging with Delivering Good
  • Support and assist Director of Product Procurement on cause marketing efforts
  • Collect and curate community partner feedback to present to partner brands
  • Ensure donor service satisfaction and good donor relationships
  • Coordinate select site visits and volunteer opportunities for product donors
  • Maintain activity records including product donation entries and product donation acknowledgment letters
  • Responsible to create and execute yearly product donor recognition certificate
  • Support Delivering Good’s efforts nationwide as well as internationally
  • Participate in all staff meetings and additional meetings as needed
  • Possible travel in the US

 

Education/Experience:

  • Passion for community service and social welfare
  • 2+ years of experience in sales and customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to work collaboratively in a small team environment, combined with comfort in working with senior industry executives
  • Proven track record in achieving sales goals
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and/or CRM is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the fashion industry is a plus

Special Events Manager

Job Purpose: The Special Events Manager, working closely with the Director of Development, will have the primary responsibility for activities to enable Delivering Good to fulfill or exceed its fundraising goals through the engagement of individual, corporate, and foundation donors and in the planning and execution of special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and execution of two major annual fundraising events and additional, smaller prospect and donor engagement events.
  • Coordinate and manage venues and vendors, event staff, timelines, schedules and logistics.
  • Oversee attendee and sponsor attendance.
  • Create and own production documents.
  • Develop and maintain two event budgets as well as donor engagement event budgets.
  • Outreach and solicit sponsorships and ticket sales.
  • Liaise with sponsors and enhance relationships.
  • Organize volunteer experiences for honorees and speakers affiliated with events.
  • Produce regular event reports to enable staff and Board to monitor progress.
  • Staff event committees and work closely with the Board and the committees to most effectively engage volunteer leadership in fundraising.
  • Achieve revenue and expense targets for events.
  • Conduct general prospect research.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department and with vendors on electronic and print materials for both events.

Requirements:

  • Passion for community service and social welfare
  • 5+ years of event planning experience
  • Positive can-do attitude, with no task too big or too small
  • Creative, tactical, a problem-solver and a self-starter
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral
  • Comfortable working in a team environment, both taking and giving direction
  • Hard working, and recognize this business does not have set hours
  • Incredibly resourceful
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent computer and internet research skills
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized
  • Ability to successfully multi-task, and take full ownership of assigned projects
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Nonprofit Director of Finance and Administration

Title: Director of Finance and Administration

Job Purpose: The Director of Finance and Administration, reporting to the President/CEO, will ensure the successful financial and related operations of the organization. The Director of Finance and Administration will be a key member of the leadership team. The Director of Finance and Administration will take an entrepreneurial approach to ensuring the effective management of financial resources. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance and operations leader to strengthen the internal capacity of a respected and effective organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Finance: oversee external finance consultants and/or internal staff; liaison with Finance and Investment Committee; lead annual budget preparation and monthly monitoring; manage cash flow, monitor proper treatment of reserve and endowment funds; ensure timely filing and compliance with applicable state and federal tax and charitable solicitation laws and regulations; maintain banking and investment relationships.
  • Accounting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements; oversee gifts-in-kind valuation processes, program and grants accounting; approve expenses and oversee payables process.
  • Audit: liaison with Audit Committee; coordinate audit and 990 preparation with external auditors; oversee auditor review process.
  • Real Estate: maintain relationship with landlord, lead search for new space, oversee office move in 2020.
  • Human Resources: Maintain relationship with professional employer organization (PEO) provider, including submission of payroll, benefits, retirement plan. Responsibility for overseeing compensation and benefits recommendations; hiring, training, performance evaluation.
  • Technology: Coordinate with technology consultants and vendors to manage computer systems and needs; supervise database manager/data analyst; lead any technology selection processes; security and integrity; cybersecurity, phone system.
  • Policies: Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices, including gift acceptance, financial procedures, product valuations, etc.
  • Insurance: Annual review of all insurance policies.

Requirements:

  • Passion for community service and social welfare
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience with signification financial and operations management experience in the nonprofit sector
  • Experience in financial reporting, review of quality and content of financial data, reporting and audit coordination.
  • Experience developing and implementing nonprofit organizational policies and procedures and oversight for legal and compliance matters
  • Technology savvy with experience overseeing software installations and relationships with software vendors; implementation of new processes and systems that increase efficiency; knowledge of accounting and reporting software
  • Desire to work collaboratively in a small team environment, combined with comfort in working with senior industry executives
  • Experience/Interest in or similar field highly desirable
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA/MPA/CPA or related degree preferred.
